Determined to make ownership of Ford brand of vehicles more rewarding and stress-free, Coscharis Motors, foremost Ford dealer in Nigeria, has introduced an incentive known as Ford Protect Package, FPP, for its customers. The company also officially introduce the 2016 models of the Ford Explorer, Figo and Ranger pick-up. The Ford Protect Package replaced the Extended Service Plan, ESP, and covers all Ford vehicles purchased from Coscharis Motors. Speaking at the Ford showroom in Victoria Island, Lagos, the General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Services, Mr. Abiona Babarinde, who represented the Group Managing Director, Mr. Josiah Samuel, explained that the new package offers free service to Ford customers for four years or 120,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. “What this means is that for four year Coscharis Motors will service the vehicle for the buyers for free,” he said. He listed the areas covered under the Ford Protect Service during period to include, free oil change, air filter change, tyre rotation, brake pads change, wipers, belts and hoses as well as shock absorbers. The Ford Extended Service plan promo was replaced by Ford Protect Package to give the customers more value for their money and it covers all Ford models sold by Coscharis, he explained. Meanwhile, Coscharis Motors has unveiled the 2016 edition of the Ford Explorer, as well as the 2016 Ranger and of Figo. Sales Manager, Ford, Mr. Fabian Anuforo, said the Explorer had been one of the highest selling Ford models in Nigeria and attributed this to the luxury features, comfort and general performance. The Explorer is a three-row sport utility vehicle that seats up to seven and which comes in five trim levels. “Powering the vehicle is a 3.5-litre turbocharged V6 (EcoBoost) engine that outputs 365 hp (272 kW) and 350 lb-ft (475 Nm) of torque,” he said. The manufacturer said for the vehicle, the six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive were standard. ”This powertrain should be familiar to Ford F-150 fans as the most popular option in those trucks,” it stated. The new Ford Explorer has a number of special features such as keyless entry and starting the engine, while outside the vehicle.
