- Front Spring Rate: If the front of the car hops in corners, and exhibits excess wheel spin when going forward, the cause is possibly over steer. You can fix this by increasing the front spring rate. On the other hand, if you are facing constant over steer, than going under steer, which results in the spring becoming soft and the car bottoms out. Then, read clearly that the car bottom is jolting excessively. The solution to fix this is by decreasing the front spring rate.
- Reduce Compression Damping: In the case your car has too much over steer, and jumps on corners, then clearly the issue here is the compression damping is too elevated. To fix this problem, you need to reduce compression damping.
- Lower Spring Rate: When your car under steers, then over steers, and it bottoms out, then the problem is probably less over steer. To solve this, you need to lower the rear spring rate.
- Stiffen Front Anti-Sway Bar: If your car lifts its inside front tire off the ground, causing massive wheel spinning, then your car’s under steering is the problem. To fix this problem, you need to stiffen the front anti-sway bar.
- Front Tire Pressure: In case there is an issue with no traction, as the tire is crowned. The cause most definitely is less under steering. Except with BFG R-1 tires. They tend to grip less and under steer more if the pressures are increased within a decent amount. To rectify this, increase the front tire pressure. On the other side, if your tire edges wears quickly due to the tire folding over, then expect more under steer. Except for the BFG R-1 as #8. To solve this, you will need to lower the front tire pressure.
- Rear Tire Pressure: If the edges of the vehicle’s tires are wearing quickly. The cause of the situation can be the over steer, which is causing the tire to cup upward, and makes it feel loose in the back. To solve this would be to decrease the rear tire pressure.
- Front Wheel: If the brakes are working poorly and tires have begun to wear on their inside edges, the possible cause of this could be less under steer. To fix this is to put more negative camber on the front wheels.
Suspension Tuning: In case there is slow rocking movement in back, then this is happening because the tires are unstable, and edges are wearing out. The car is less likely to suddenly over steer when throttle is lifted. Solution is toe-in rear suspension tuning.
